With the festival of Diwali approaching, complaints have emerged regarding a shortage of palm oil and pigeon peas (toor dal) at ration shops across Chengalpattu district. Tagging a news report on this issue, BJP State President Nainar Nagendran urged that the government—led by Chief Minister Vijay—must ensure the availability of essential commodities at these fair-price shops.
