Alagiri daughter Kayalvizhi: The police have registered a case against Kayalvizhi, daughter of former Union Minister Alagiri, for slapping the branch manager of an SBI bank in Adyar, Chennai. Kayalvizhi had initially filed a petition in the High Court seeking to quash the case; however, as she subsequently withdrew the petition, the High Court has dismissed it.
